NEW INITIATIVES CALENDAR ARCHIVES OFFICERS MISSION Yale Environmental Law Association YELA Reading Group, Spring 2008: Climate Change Law and Policy 
YELA is pleased to offer a reading group on Climate Change Law and Policy this spring, open to YLS students as well as students at other Yale graduate schools. Led by Doug Smith and Kyle Danish, two expert attorneys at Van Ness Feldman in Washington, DC, this group will feature 13 hours of discussion in a seminar format supplemented by additional guest presentations. Topics to be explored include international disciplines addressing climate change, existing federal statutes, proposed legislation before Congress, state and regional initiatives in the U.S., and common law and statutory litigation to force U.S. action on climate change. We're very excited to offer (perhaps the first ever?) YELA T-shirts! See the T-shirt design at right (the shirts were designed and will be hand silk-screened by a local artist). The design will be printed on organic cotton T-shirts from American Apparel. Shirts are $15 and must be ordered in advance.
